John gained a first class degree from Cambridge, is a Scholar of St Catharine's College, gained his personal Chair at De Montfort University, is an Honorary Fellow of the University of Central Lancashire and Myerscough College, is an elected Fellow of the Royal Agricultural Socieitiesand was awarded the OBE in 2004. He is the author of books and papers covering his specialisms within the food and agriculrure sector and has strong international experience.
